The "D" word

So, he saw a lawyer this morning. Paperwork is filled out and I will be served within about a week.

It's been 18 days.

A 20 year relationship, gone for the most part, in 18 days.

Seems a bit of a whirlwind but I suppose things have been crumbling for a while.

I have some tentative plans for myself. I want to go back to school and become something. I want to be able to support myself and my kids. I want to show them that adversity is not a reason to give up.

I found a course for an associates degree at WCCC. I'd like to start in the fall. Hopefully, that will work out and I'll be on the Geek Squad in no time.

I considered being a librarian, as I do own the glasses for it, but the Dewey Decimal system never really did it for me.

I bet you'll be the "teachers pet"!

Good for you to go back to school! I think it's great!

Good for you! I really commend you for the way you are handling this situation. If it were me, I'd probably be rolled up in a ball in the back of the closet. But even though you are hurting, you are keeping it together and that's amazing. Just know that we are all here for you if you ever need us. :)

My word is 'enslolf'. Where do they come up with these?

What word are you talking about? Enslolf? I missed something. How about 'ehrleichda'? That's one of my favorites.

ES, she meant the word you have to enter to post your comment.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the support SO much. I think, if I didn't have my kids, I'd be in a ball in the closet too. I sorta don't have a choice but to do my very best for them.

Anyone have 1200 to fix my neighbor's car that I wrecked into on Saturday? HAHAHAHAHHAHA

Yeah, girlfriend, you DO have a choice. And you CHOSE the RIGHT one! Now, darnit, let us commend you. Let us pat you on the back and give you needed hugs and tell you that we love you. You most certainly have choices every single day. And you have CHOSEN to make them count. Your kids are double blessed to have you for their mom. :)

my word is HYSTID. Is that a communicable disease???

Thanks Wendi. You know I love you back girl!

ES, I know. I was hoping we could settle it out of pocket but for the stupid light to be replaced and a tiny paint scratch is 1200!!! So yeah, I'm calling the insurance. Just was hoping not to raise my rates right now. :P
